ABOUT ME
Amanda Marinello - Owner and Founder
My passion for dogs and helping dog owners has lead me into this career. I've been a dog owner my entire life and I understand what the love of a good dog can do for your soul. I want to share my knowledge and skills with you to help create a healthy and rewarding relationship between you and your dog.
With almost a decade of experience working with dogs and certifications from National K9 in basic, advanced, puppy foundation, and off-leash obedience I want to bring my expertise to your relationship with your dog.
The foundation of Smart Pup Training is balanced scale communication. We provide fully customized 1-on-1 training for your dog in a caring and attentive environment. Your dog will receive round the clock care and attention while being challenged with rewarding and supportive training geared toward achieving your behavioral goals. I want to work with you to discover if our training is right for you and how we can work together to ensure you and your dog have a lifetime of happiness.

Smart Pup Training has services for all kinds of dogs and all kinds of humans. Multi-day programs are custom designed to suit your educational and behavioral goals. Smart Pup Training is all about trust. We want to work with you to begin to build a trusting relationship that will ensure years of happy times with you and your dog.
PUPPY PROGRAM
Ages 8-18 weeks
Bringing a puppy into your home does not need to be overwhelming or stressful. Enrolling your new puppy in our training program will allow you and your puppy to gain the skills needed for a happy and healthy life together. This developmental program is packed with information, guidance, and the structure needed to build a foundation for a lifetime of good behavior. In 2 sessions, you and your puppy will become familiar with our training model and take away skills you'll need to encourage healthy habits in your puppy.
5-DAY BOARD AND TRAIN

Our most basic residency program. This fully customized multi-day program allows us to build healthy habits into your dog. Using real-life scenarios in both the home and outside world we provide training and skill development that will allow your dog to navigate life successfully. Focusing on basic manners and leash management your dog will leave our training with solid and foundation skills that you can build on throughout their life.
12-DAY BOARD AND TRAIN

Like our 5-Day Board and Train, this residency program builds healthy habits in your dog that allow for better communication and more structure. Using real-world situational training we work with a greater number of commands and more obedience training than in the 5-day program. The 12-day allows us to address a greater number of behavioral issues and challenges. With 4-5 individual training sessions per day, your dog will work on manners and obedience in a controlled, 1-on-1 setting receiving 24-hour care and attention.
19-DAY BOARD AND TRAIN

Our most comprehensive training option. After extensive consultation with you, we create a fully customized training program that will address the issues you feel are most important in your dog's behavior. By maximizing the training time, your dog will recieve a greater range of training skills than with other programs. With 4-5 trainings per day and our signature 24-hour care and attention, your dog will be set up for success. In this program, we are able to take full advantage of all the skills training that Smart Pup has to offer.
CUSTOM TRAINING SESSION

In this 1-on-1 fully customized training session we will address behavioral issues that your dog is dealing with. Taking into account your dog's unique learning style and needs we will work together to identify issues and provide skills to manage or eliminate the problematic behaviors. In these lessons, you will be provided with the training and knowledge to continue and reinforce the learning.
BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATION
Ages 19 weeks+
Setting up a consultation is the first step in the journey to bettering your relationship with your dog. This 1-2 hour session is an opportunity to discuss behavioral issues and personality traits your dog may be exhibiting. This will be an opportunity to answer your questions as well as discuss the factors that are leading to your dog's behavior choices. At the conclusion, I will recommend a custom training program that is tailored to accomplish your goals and provide you and your dog with the tools to correct and manage problem behaviors.
